Federal projects require the Allco team to meet exact specifications from the engineer. The Fort Polk sanitary sewer project was a rehabilitation of the original infrastructure built in the early 1940’s. Sewer lines constructed of concrete and clay are a reminder of the advancements in engineering which have been made over the past 100 years. Replacing these pipes require Allco to use a technique called pipe bursting. In addition to the pipes, Allco has rehabilitated the manholes with a more durable cementitious liner overlaid with a spray on epoxy. The result of this rehabilitation included fewer maintenance tasks and a sewer system that meets state and federal sanitary regulations.
